Is It Really Necessary To Go To Court?

It’s simple enough to threaten legal action in an attempt to remedy a situation. However, more often than not, most people don't realise how complicated or costly this sort of action can potentially be.

Court isn’t necessarily the first place to go to resolve a dispute. Rather, it should be considered the last place to go. The court system is often, slow, procedural, adversarial in nature, inflexible, and costly. There are many other ways of resolving a dispute other than going to court. These involve methods like negotiation, mediation, arbitration, or expert appraisal. Sometimes courts may even order that the matter before them be resolved using one of the above ways.  read more »

New First Home Buyers Supplement for New South Wales

The current economic climate does little to help the affordability of housing. Fortunately both the Federal Government and the New South Wales State Government has taken swift action in an attempt to remedy the situation.

The Federal Government recently announced a boost to the First Home Owners Grant for new and established homes. First home buyers who exchange contracts between 14 October 2008 and 30 June 2009 will receive $21,000 for a newly built home and $14,000 for an existing home.

Acting in tandem with the Federal Government, the New South Wales State Government announced a further supplement to the First Home Owners Grant. First home buyers who are buying or building a new home between 11 November 2008 and 10 November 2009 will be eligible to receive a further $3,000 on top of the First Home Owners Grant. This increases the maximum benefit received under the First Home Owner Grant to $24,000. Eligibility requirements remain unchanged.  read more »

Low Balance Transfer Credit Cards

Low balance transfer credit cards are exactly what the name of the group implies. These are credit cards that allow you the opportunity to make a balance transfer from another credit card onto this credit card and get an interest rate for that balance transfer that is very low. Usually, the low balance transfer term refers to the final interest rate on the balance transfer and how that rate matches up to market interest rates at the time, although in some cases the low rate for the transferred balance is made even lower through the presence of an introductory offer. A typical introductory offer for a good low balance transfer credit card would be something like 0% interest for 8 months as long as you made the minimum payments on time and in full each month. For this reason, low balance transfer credit cards can be a potent tool in fighting debt problems which is one of the reasons they continue to gain in popularity with the passage of time.  read more »

Boost to the First Home Owners Grant

Relief for First Home Buyers

Housing affordability is already an issue affecting many Australians and this has only been compounded by the concerns of the global financial crisis. While many countries are struggling under the weight of increasing debt and insecurity, Australia remains relatively untouched and governments at all levels continue to take decisive and early action to protect the economy.

Buying a first home is often a challenge with many first home buyers identifying deposits as a major stumbling block. The First Home Owners Grant and First Home Plus Schemes were introduced to ease the burden of first home buyers and hopefully assist them in entering the property market. The changing economic climate and increasing property prices have lessened the benefits of earlier schemes and it was time for a change.  read more »

Web Development Company

Web Development Company-is the buzz word, but not many people understand the true meaning of Web Development. Most people associate Web Designing with Web Development, which is not only misleading but really cramps up the vision of what real Web Development can do.
